years ago, the first Lolonis vineyards were planted high on the sun-blessed
benchlands of Redwood Valley. Two young Greek immigrants, Tryfon Lolonis
and bride Eugenia, established deep roots in Mendocino when they planted
these vines and began a family that would grow to ten children. Since
then, we continue to nurture our heritage vines using the gentle organic
methods adopted by Nick Lolonis in the 1950s. To us, "Ladybugs Love
Lolonis" means no pesticides are needed or used in our viticultural
practice.
Join us on Father's Day Weekend for the 11th annual "Taste of
Redwood Valley". Enjoy a warm sunny day in the vineyard with our
crisp grass tinged Fumé Blanc or our Chardonnay bursting with
juicy pear and citrus fruits. We will be serving olives, cheese, grilled
souvlaki, and other tasty Greek appetizers. Wash them down with our
delicious estate red wines like Carignane, or Zinfandel.
If you wish to sample our Reserve and Library wines, there will be
an extra charge, which can be used towards the purchase of any Reserve
or Library wine.
