Father's Day Dinner & Tasting Weekend

Friday, Saturday, Sunday - June 13-15, 2014

The seven wineries and brandy distillery of Redwood Valley are pleased to present our annual Winemaker Dinner on June 13, 2014.  This beautiful evening under the stars will be held at the Brown Family winery located at 1106 Bel Arbres Drive in Redwood Valley.  Experience the rustic beginnings of this new winery and enjoy sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, a multi course dinner paired with elegant wines and world class brandy accompanied by music performed by the Felt Tips.  At the end of the meal, scrumptious gourmet cupcakes will be served with dessert wines and brandy. Providing the authentic Italian fare, Bella Cibo Catering sources local ingredients and will provide options for those with dietary restrictions upon advance request.  This event is the perfect opener for a weekend filled with great wine, great food and great friends.

Then on June 14th and 15th, visitors can meander along the back roads of Redwood Valley to each winery and distillery to taste library wines, unique varietals, small production lots, craft-method spirits and experience the fun of tasting right out of the barrel. Guests will enjoy an array of food offerings, some live music, and local hand crafted items. Each winery is family owned and is unique in its setting, its wine and food presentations, and its welcoming ambiance. Visit with the winemaker, vintner, grower, or distiller and listen to their stories, ask technical questions and experience the wines and spirits of a truly unique appellation.

‘Tis the season when the leaves start turning, the weather is getting cooler, so we know we must start planning for the upcoming holidays.  Preparation ahead of time takes the stress out of entertaining and gift giving.  To help you keep more money in your wallet for gifts and entertaining, the eight wineries and our stellar brandy/spirits producer come together once again to offer special discounts on many of the wines they regularly offer.  Sales up to 40% off on select varietals allow you to stock your cellar and bar with the finest wines and spirits. 

Only a select group of the wineries will be open both Saturday and Sunday:  BARRA of Mendocino & Girasole Vineyards, Brown Family Wines, Cole Bailey Vineyards, Giuseppe Wines & Neese Vineyards, Silversmith Vineyards, and Testa Vineyards will be open both days.  

Wineries open Saturday only: Frey Vineyards, Germain Robin, Graziano Family of Wines, and Oster Wine Cellars.

In addition, many of the wineries will have artisan foods and works of art for sale.  BARRA of Mendocino/Girasole Vineyards will present many local artists who have created everything from abalone jewelry, fabric wall and garden art, fine woodworking, bird and bat houses  to organic soaps and lotions.  There's something here for everyone.

Admission is free, so bring your glass and go wine tasting , enjoy the light faire and holiday treats offered at each winery, and take time to listen to the music.  This is an event where you can relax, taste the wines (even some new releases and barrel tasting), take advantage of the outrageous sales and enjoy the back roads of Redwood Valley.
